Ahmed Zaidan is a Finnish-Iraqi poet, writer and journalist. In 2009, he published his first poetry collection in Iraq. In 2013, he migrated to Finland, embarking on a new venture through publishing several works in Europe: Aurora from Mosul, Kotimaa/Homeland and the latest, Double Vision that was funded by Taike.
In 2025, Palewell Press published Mosul - Story of Hope - Ahmed's memoir of the ISIS capture of Mosul, his birth city.
