Ron Price, author of Desire and Death in Nonconnah County, is an American poet known for his work exploring Southern life, family, racism, and spirituality. Ron has lived and worked in New York City including time as Poet in Residence and teacher at the Juilliard School. He was co-founder of the Free Peoples Poetry Workshop, and has participated in the following programs: Poet in the Parks, Poet in Prisons, and Poet in the Schools. But the poems in this pamphlet collection reflect his Southern upbringing in the Mississippi Delta and have a powerful connection to nature and unseen forces.
