Sue Johns lives in London but originates from Cornwall where she started writing and performing as a 'punk poet'. She also writes and performs theatrical monologues and works with art/word collaborations.

Publications by the author include a collection Tantrum, 1998 and a pamphlet A Certain Age, 2003. Her collection Hush was published by Morgan's Eye Press in 2009. Her pamphlet Rented - poems on prostitution and dependency was published by Palewell Press in 2018.
