This is the latest poetry collection by Parwana Amiri, a young woman refugee from Afghanistan. Parwana and her family endured a long journey into exile, including a perilous sea-crossing, to reach what they hoped was safety in mainland Europe. They then had to spend years in a series of refugee camps on the Greek island of Lesvos. With devastating honesty, Parwana's poems chronicle what she witnessed of the injustice and dangers facing refugees in those camps.
