The natural world, compassionate farming and Britain's agricultural landscape are central to Adam Horovitz's poetry. He was born in London and bred in the heart of Cider with Rosie country, where he still lives.

His debut poetry collection, Turning, was released by Headland in 2011. He was awarded a Hawthornden Fellowship in 2012, and was the poet in residence for Glastonbury Festival’s official website in 2009. His memoir, A Thousand Laurie Lees, was published by the History Press in 2014. Little Metropolis, a CD of poetry and music, came out in 2015. In June 2017, Palewell Press published the anthology, The Physic Garden, edited by Adam and commissioned by Ledbury Poetry Festival.

Adam is one of Ledbury Poetry Festival’s Versopolis poets, was Herefordshire poet in residence for 2015/16 and is currently the poet in residence for the Pasture-fed Livestock Association. In January 2018, Palewell Press launched his second poetry collection - The Soil Never Sleeps - at the Oxford Real Farming Conference. The collection proved so popular that in 2019 The Exmoor Society and Exmoor National Park generously sponsored The Soil Never Sleeps - Edition 2.
