Sophia Argyris was born in Belgium to an English and Greek family. She grew up there, and in the North of Scotland, and is currently based in Oxfordshire. The poems in Heronless are strongly influenced by the deaths of her parents. They fuse personal grief with the sense of loss many of us experience due to the climate crisis.
