Our Vision

We believe in building a sustainable world that can support itself and all its peoples, in which they share equally and are protected from abuse and injustice. And we believe that this world can be brought closer through publishing books that foster justice, equality and environmental sustainability. Central to our work is the belief that racism and hatred against migrants have no place in our country.

Inspired by others

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you" Maya Angelou

"Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out." James Baldwin

Our Mission

Palewell Press is an independent not-for-profit publisher based in South West London. We help people share untold stories by improving access to book publication for refugees and other writers on today's challenging issues. When people share their stories they feel acknowledged and those stories counteract less informed views.

What we do

We publish books by or about refugees and members of other marginalised groups, and by writers on environmental issues. We publish a regular Newsletter, and host book launches and a biannual Book Festival. This year, our Festival will be in Kensington Cemtral Library on November 1st from 11-4.
